NPS: not a full recap

I'm still adjusting to not being at Nationals. Yesterday was more  of a blur than I wanted it to be & there is a boatload of personal to work through. 
Having said that, here is my brief National Poetry Slam 2008 recap: 

1. very glad to see Boston Cantab in finals
2. just as glad to see Louder Arts on the same stage. 
3. I was very glad I went to both the Mosaic and Queer Nation readings.
4. Was pleasantly surprised to meet Jesse from Salt Lake who went to WPI in the 90's. 
5. The shops and restaurants in Madison are great. 
6. Coffee, coffee, coffee oh my!
7. Enjoyed Afghan, Nepalese, East African and Thai food. Also had fried cheese curds, tasty bratwurst and more pizza than was expected. 
8. I'm glad I went as spectator.
9. I'm even happier that I volunteered and got to see teams and poets who were totally unfamiliar to me. 
10. One bout absolutely bored me, followed by another bout filled with energy. 
11. Enjoyed the Green Mill team a lot for doing a series of poems. 
12. Mr. Ott was a nice surprise having only seen him a few times over the week. 
13. Good to see Karen G again, even though I didn't always have much to say. Was also pleased and surprised that Chris August remembered me despite the fact that I haven't seem him since '06. 
14. Pleased to meet Cynthia French and have a nice run in with Andrea Gibson on the elevator. 
15. Didn't get drunk. Very pleased about that. 
16. I want to go to IWPS.
17. Worcester made me proud in the first bout I saw and as the showcase feature before a semi-final bout. 
18. Connected with more N. Beasters than I expected.
19. Really, I should of asked how they made the Afghan tea. 
20. Fresh, warm baklava.
21.Yeah.
